Get the step-by-step guide to supporting your loved one’s cancer journey through touch & massage.
Cancer is challenging: a never-ending merry-go-round of doctor’s appointments, chemotherapy, hospital stays, and pain management. You do your best to keep your loved one comfortable, but there’s only so much you can do.
You do not have to deal with this alone. You are not powerless. You can learn to help ease their pain, without medication and at home.
Twenty years ago, my loved one was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and I became her primary caregiver. As a licensed massage therapist, I desperately wanted to alleviate some of the side effects of her treatment with massage.
With very basic, gentle techniques applied only to her hands, feet, and back, I was able to help grant her some relief and give us both a pocket of comfort in the midst of a challenging time.
Another caregiver in the hospital told me they wished they could do the same for their loved one, so I decided to teach caregivers how to create these moments of peace.
With my 30 years of experience as a massage therapist, I’ve put together a 4-step course that will walk you through everything you need to know to give your loved one happy days at home.
When everything is too much, touch and massage can give you and your loved one a few minutes of peace and comfort. Spending this time together can build a stronger bond and fortify you both for the days ahead.
